Status Quo, Goals, Conclusion

Status Quo (start of studies)

Here you reflect on your current status; artistically and professionally. The following questions/topics are intended to help you structure your thoughts and self-reflection. You are encouraged not to simply answer them, but to formulate your own questions and write an independent text!

Artistically:

Where are my strengths instrumentally/vocally? Where can I improve? How/where do my interests lie (repertoire, divisions, formats)?

Professional:

To what extent is my professionalization advanced? In what areas do I already consider myself professional? How am I networked? What skills do I have that already allow me to have an independent professional life?

Environment:

How can I shape my personal environment (family, living situation, etc.) to make the most of my study time? What helps me? What is a hindrance?

Toni area:

How can I make the best use of the infrastructure of the Toni-Areal to showcase and further develop my personal skills?

My own questions / My own Text:

Goals (start of studies)

This is where you think about your artistic and professional goals. Always with regard to the time horizon:

  • short-term (1st part of studies)
  • medium-term (until end of studies)
  • longer-term (e.g. in 10 years).

Artistically:

What are my goals in terms of instrumental/vocal skill? Where would I like to improve/with what goal? Where do I have specific potential that distinguishes me and is worth investing in?

Where is my repertoire going? What do I really want to have played? Who/what is my audience? Who are my UCuYguLoDyv0IRI84Au-GbUgmusical partners?

Professional:

What will I spend my professional life doing in the future? What areas are important to achieving these professional goals?

Study:

What opportunities does the ZHdK offer me to achieve my goals? What courses/programs do I want to take to achieve my goals?

Conclusion (end of studies)

Here you look back at your master’s studies. You state your current status, refer to the analysis at the beginning of your studies, the initial goals set and reflect on your study time so far, your learning curves and dare a look into the near future.
